Engadget is back on the future Dell smartphone Thunder, one of the first high-end smartphones from the manufacturer.
In the wake of images of the prototype for iPhone 4 published by the blog Gizmodo in April, rival Engadget was quick to retaliate by unveiling the roadmap smartphone manufacturer Dell has just arrived on the niche.
Among the various smartphones presented, one could find the Dell Thunder, a model from Android 2.1, which is positioned on the high end display with a 4.1 "capacitive touchscreen 800 x 480 pixels, 8 megapixel digital camera and a processor running at 1 GHz.

Engadget back on what was then a project with a short video of a Dell smartphone prototype of Thunder which, not to dwell on the subject, shows a rather attractive unit with its elongated and rectangular shapes black dress, and with it seems an OLED display.
Little is known about this model except that it should pick an interface dedicated Dell and will be launched before the end of the year. After introducing smartphones entry / mid range Dell could then reposition itself in the high end with an ambitious set of terminals, including the Dell Lightning Phone Windows 7 and a tablet Android 7 "in Tegra 2 perhaps launched in the U.S. in November.
