Camera + ejected from the App Store for a hidden feature

Apple has removed a popular program from the App Store because of a prohibited function as its designers had concealed.

Camera+, a popular photo application for iPhone is currently no longer available on the App Store. Apple has since withdrawn its developer, the company Taptaptap, had built a hidden feature ...

A little «hack», that Apple did not particularly enjoyed, in effect allowed to use a volume knob for the iPhone to trigger a photo.

No mention of this function «easter egg» was available in the application: Taptaptap was hidden and has just published a trick to enjoy on its Twitter feed. She was to go on Safari and enter a specific command in the field of Web addresses, which initiated this function.

A function may disrupt users

The trick did not last long: Apple soon realized that little manipulation, the program was removed from its platform download. Note that a few days earlier, Taptaptap had already released a new version of its popular application which allowed, without any trick, using a volume button to take a picture.

But this update was immediately rejected by Apple because it allowed to use a volume knob to take a shot. «Your application can be added to the App Store because it uses the volume buttons on the iPhone a non-standard way, which could potentially confuse users,» said the maker of the iPhone developers.

Annoyed by this decision, Taptaptap chose to hide this function to Apple before submitting it again to Apple. Las: deleted again, Camera + should return soon to the App Store ... Without hidden feature!
