LG launches Blu-ray external, for speed freaks
Elegantly encased this drive external 8x Blu-ray offers a dual USB 2.0 and eSATA.
LG has just introduced the BE08LU20, burner Blu-ray external distinguished by the fact that he is able to read and write Blu-ray media at 8x speed. Relatively sleek hull with two colors, white and black, this external drive is devoted mainly to owners of netbooks and notebooks.
The BE08LU20 is able to burn DVD + R and-R at 16x (4x dual layer), DVD + RW 8x, DVD-RW at 6x and 48x CD-R/RW. Media Blu-ray BD-R are, in turn, read and written at 8x, both in singles and double layer but only when they are 2x Rewritable (BD-RE).
Dual eSATA and USB 2.0 connectivity
Like any good reader or external drive, the BE08LU20 is powered by the USB 2.0 port, in charge of feeding data to burn. But when connected via the eSATA port, it requires a separate power supply (mains power or USB connection). Technically, the drive has some technology house responsible for optimizing the operation and ensure ease of use.
Among which, Jamless Play and Silent Play, to reduce digital noise during playback and mechanical disks, or Super Multi Blue to support many media (CD, CD-R/RW, DVD, DVD -R/RW, BD, BD-R/RE, etc..), without forgetting the Lightscribe technology, which allows photo printing discs.
