Skype soon acquired by Cisco Systems?

The telecoms equipment maker Cisco Systems and networks would get their hands on the Internet telephony service Skype.

If you believe an informed source quoted by the blog TechCrunch, the telecoms equipment maker Cisco Systems and networks have recently made an offer in order to afford the Internet telephony service Skype, which is valued at 5 billion dollars and prepares to recall its IPO.

And it was not the only person from the same source quoted by TechCrunch as the search giant Google's online had also considered the acquisition, before abandoning the idea for fear of trouble withcompetition authorities.

If this information has not been confirmed by Cisco Systems and Skype at the moment, it would not be surprising since the acquisition of Skype would allow Cisco to expand into the consumer market. Recall, however, that large groups spend their time in contact with smaller but this does not necessarily materialize and Techcrunch has already fallen for this kind of advertisement, such as when he mentioned the takeover of Twitter by Google quickly denied by the principal concerned.
