The BMW Group has announced that the MINI brand will be back in the World Rally Championship next season, and for several years.
In 2011, MINI will play some events in the WRC before taking part in the rally full season next year. The car will be developed in partnership with the structure of David Richards, Prodrive, which has occupied the Subaru CARE program.
The first test should take place in autumn 2010 and the MINI might be driven by Mads Ostberg, close to Prodrive. In 1960, the MINI Cooper S has saved many drivers, such as Tommi Makinen.
