Panasonic presents the successor to the NPC GH1 hybrid sensor Micro 4:3. The Panasonic DMC-GH2 has been updated as it becomes a beautiful 3D compatible, adopts a new viewfinder and the speed of its autofocus has been revised upwards.
Some will be quick to speak of «Super G» with this new camera hybrid. While the Panasonic DMC-GH2 adopts a similar appearance to that of his predecessor, GH1, you can not really be said of its list of specifications that has been revised upwards.

The first change, the Panasonic DMC-GH2 sensor integrates a 4:3 LiveMOS more generous with 18.31 megapixel effective resolution with native close to 16 megapixels (the GH1 had 12). The sensor is multi-aspects and can therefore handle 3:2 or 16:9 formats. The frame boasts 4:3 Micro parallel updating of Venus Engine (now presented in its three core FHD VI), which makes everything faster. Witness the burst mode, which climbs to 5 frames per second at full resolution and 40 fps in 3-megapixel resolution and autofocus, which is advertised as two times faster than before by the manufacturer. The autofocus works by detecting contrast and we can also benefit from continuous video mode. Note that the electronic viewfinder is also improved since going to 852 x 600 pixels at a magnification of 0.7 x.
