LG L-03C, a camera phone
Mobile phones that integrate cameras have become almost the norm now. LG changes the game by introducing the first to integrate a camera phone. For you it's all the same? See it a little closer!
A camera that integrates a mobile phone
A mobile phone with a photo sensor, it has nothing revolutionary. One can even say that this has become the norm, the difference being now rather at the quality of onboard equipment. Some mobile phones such as Nokia or Sony Ericsson N8 Satio include 12-megapixel sensors while others simply always a 2-megapixel sensor. LG has decided to integrate its share of 3G in a compact digital camera, and it gives the LG L-03C.
A 12 megapixel compact camera
Beneath its beautifully retro, this new compact camera LG cache so a small revolution. LG L-03C has as many current NPC a 12-megapixel photo sensor, a Pentax lens with 3x optical zoom 1:3.6-5.5, a Xenon flash, an ISO 3200 and is capable of recording video in HD 720p. Holds in all dimensions of 11.2 x 6 x 2.2 cm and weighs 165 grams. Front, this compact camera sports a 3 inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Until then interesting but not extraordinary.
A compact digital camera compatible with 3G
Yet these devices the LG L-03C adds a GPS module is compatible with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but especially with 3G. We have here the first case incorporating a camera phone. A first. LG L-03C should have an endurance of 3.5 hours of talk time and 12 days of standby. To date, LG has neither expressed on a release date in Europe, this camera phone will be available in Japan in the month of January 2011, nor its price.
The camera phone, a concept?
It remains to be seen if this concept with LG is truly able to find a niche or if the LG L-03C will be an attempt without a future. Its format does not really intended to be slipped into a pocket like a high-end smartphone, but perhaps will be found there still an audience for this new type of hybrid devices. Only time will tell.
