LG unveils Optimus 2X, the first Android smartphone dual core
The manufacturer has formalized its Android smartphone under nVidia Tegra 2.Expected release: January 2011 ... Korea.
Spread the word: it will take on LG smartphones in 2011! The Korean manufacturer multiplies ads in this season. After its Windows Mobile 7 Phone LG has formalized the first phone to ship a processor with two cores. The LG will be led by Optimus 2XnVidia Tegra 2 processor with two cores running at 1 GHz and an architecture basedon ARM Cortex A9. Such power will make more fluid applications that work together.Another advantage of the Tegra 2: it decodes HD video up to 1080p.
A high-end equipment
The Optimus 2X run on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and may be updated to Android 2.3(Gingerbread). The rest of its features is worthy of those of a high end phone: large touch screen 4-inch (10.2 cm) 480 x 800 dots, 8 GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD, and two output microHDMI video sensors, an 8-megapixel back andanother 1.3-megapixel front.
Initially, this smartphone is announced for commercialization in Korea in January 2011.It will be officially presented at CES in Las Vegas in early January.
