Lamborghini has developed a completely new V12 6.5 square super delivering 525 kW (700 hp). The search for reducing the weight and bulk weighed heavily in the specification: the set is only 665 mm long and 235 kg, a feat for a V12, including through the cylinder block aluminum alloy high silicon content and the use of carbon fiber parts.
The same concern for lightness has guided the development of the gearbox. It must also provide very sporty driving experience.
