New handheld Sony PSP 2 Non-NGP

Sony has unveiled its new handheld console, not the PSP 2, but the NGP for Next Generation Portable. 5 inch OLED touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and new formats for games, that's basically. Release scheduled for late 2011 for a price ... unknown.

It was expected that the PSP 2 substantially reproduces the design of the latest version of the handheld Sony PSP Go with its slider form, and although it is not. The Sony NGP, the Next Generation Portable, much more like a PSP 3000, but is a bit more oval. This new version includes a beautiful touch screen 5 inch OLED screen displays a resolution of 960 x 533 pixels, a resolution 4 times greater than the current PSP. And not only will touch the screen, but the player can also use a touchpad on the back of the console to a whole new gaming experience!

A processor drawing very

In front of the Sony NGP, we find the classical cross directional control keys X, Square, Circle, Triangle and L / R that is known about the Sony PS3 and two analog sticks that will delight more a player. Other facilities already known, one can also mention a very powerful Quad Core processor ARM Cortex A9, an accelerometer and two Sixaxis stereo speakers and a microphone. The new handheld console from Sony will have two cameras, one front and one in back and storage space.

3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

The struggle between the portable game consoles and smartphones looks tough. To preserve his chance of prevailing Sony has equipped its NGP compatibility with Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as well as with 3G networks which will among others to engage in online
gaming and access to download sites such as the Playstation Store. NGP also incorporate the Sony GPS authorizing the use of geolocation in games.

Compatible games

The release of a new console is always accompanied by a feeling of anxiety for holders of current consoles who question whether they can use their collection on the Sony NGP. Well bad news, only downloadable games for the PSP Go will be compatible. Forget the UMD discs. Sony still has the opportunity to present the first games available for the NGP. Among the titles already announced they may mention LittleBigPlanet, Monster Hunter, Killzone, Lost Planet, Uncharted or Resistance.

Release date and price still undisclosed

Of course the question on everyone's lips concerning the release date for Sony NGP and its price. We go hungry since Sony has just announced that its new handheld should be available by the end of 2011. And the price? That also remains a great mystery.
