CeBIT 2011 Asus Eee MeMo Pad Memic

Already shown at CES 2011 in January in Las Vegas at the same time as three other tablet models of Taiwanese manufacturer, the Asus Eee MeMo Pad will be a new presentation from our German neighbors at the CeBIT 2011 opens today and runs until 5 March in Hanover. This is the opportunity for us to return to its technical characteristics. This tablet Asus has several strengths to make inroads into a market that more and more crowded. Asus option to bet on a 7.1 inch format may appeal to those who prefer portability with dimensions of 19.6 x 11.6 x 1.1 cm and a weight of 389 grams, but also frustrate those who prefer the comfort of a larger screen.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb

In its small size, the tablet Asus Eee MeMo Pad displays a good capacitive touchscreen of 7.1 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This tablet Asus will be sold with a pen that will write and draw like a graphics tablet. Another strength of this tablet to make a name is its operating system, Android 3.0 Honeycomb which of course allows access to the proposed applications on the Android Market. Processor side, there is a Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon 1.2 GHz associated with 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of this tablet will be between 8 and 64 GB and will be expandable micro SD card.

3G + and Memic

The new 7-inch digital tablet Asus Eee MeMo Pad is also shown complete at the connections because it is compatible with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n and also with 3G + networks with HSPA + to call. Option that will appeal to those who are afraid of ridicule of having to take their tablet stuck in his ear during their communications, the tablet may be accompanied by Memic, an accessory of the remote and mobile phone sporting a translucent LCD connected via Bluetooth and allows including responding to calls, but also play music.

A 5-megapixel camera

The connection of the tablet Asus Eee MeMo Pad includes a microphone jack-HDMI handy for example for connecting to a TV, a micro-USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack and 2 mic inputs. Among other equipment, we can also mention in front a webcam of 1.2 megapixel and back a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, an accelerometer, a digital compass as well as proximity sensors and light. Its battery should allow a range of 8 hours.

Released in June

The tablet Asus Eee MeMo Pad should be available this June for a price expected to start around $ 500.
