The financial company has unveiled a new generation of Singapore credit card with an LCD screen and a keyboard. This credit card should be provided for the purchase in Internet safety.
While financial experts are looking at the future of means of payment, some companies have already taken the matter in hand. MasterCard unveiled Thursday, November 8, 2012 a new card that includes a built-in screen and touch buttons. The company is in partnership with the Standard Chartered Bank Singapore to create the first interactive credit card in Singapore.
The objective is to enable the user to generate a unique key and temporary use to validate a transaction online. You must use the keyboard to type a code which will then allow access to the key on the LCD screen. The company said in a statement that the credit card in the future could display other information as ( credit balance, a summary of loyalty points, recent transactions ... ).
For the moment, MasterCard Display will be offered to customers online Standard Chartered Online Banking. Last year, Visa has also presented a credit card with a keyboard and a LCD 48 x 8 pixels, that can display a security code validating online shopping. After being tested for a year, the CodeSure Matrix Display Card is available in Europe.
