NexStar WiFi docking station to share his hard drives in wireless

The Taiwanese company Vantec introduces a new docking station for hard disk: the NexStar WiFi.

Like its counterparts, this one feeds on the sector and can use multiple external hard drives in without passing through a box. It is indeed enough to insert the hard drive, 2.5-or 3.5-inch, then access its contents via a USB 3.0 interface.
Compared to other, it has more of a Wi-Fi N, which allows access to data in wireless, from a PC / Mac, of course, but also from a smartphone, a tablet, a connected TV and a DVD player. For smartphones and touch pads, this will require dedicated applications - Android and iOS only for now, whereas televisions connected and the turntables lounge, will be possible with the implementation of the UPnP technology.
