Samsung just cosmetic facelift for Chromebox

Samsung Chromebox
We often forget, yet Google has actually devices welcoming its Chrome OS from various manufacturers. Next momentum in terms of re-design of many of its features, Samsung took the opportunity to give a facelift to its Chromebox Series 3.

The Samsung Chromebox moves away definitively judged design drawing too heavily on the Mac mini and now offers more gentle curves. Unfortunately, only the skin is affected by the update of the product, and we almost regret and the association of brushed metal and black panels replaced by a white plastic shell.

Internally, the ChromeBox remains the same: B940 processor Celeton at 1.9GHz, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and the same external ports (2 USB 2.0 and an output jack in addition to DVI / VGA). Also with dimensions identical, it seems that Samsung has finally made a change on the hull of the original motherboard ChromeBox.

Therefore difficult to expect that this simple facelift be enough to motivate the masses to accept this low cost platform certainly, but far too limited compared to Windows operating platforms at almost equal rates. Once again, it seems difficult for Google to impose its OS as a real solution to the public, despite recent price cuts of its Chromebooks, the OS has not undergone great evolution since its launch, or in terms of Software or Hardware level proposed. Again, the severe lack of key applications can be a barrier to the adoption of Chrome OS.
