A 3D plasma TV 50 inches to less than 1.199,95 USD!
Perfect to enjoy 3D without breaking the bank, this 50-inch plasma TV Samsung has really everything to seduce?
After a first launch initiated this summer in the U.S., Samsung now sells in UK the first 50-inch Plasma TV 3D Ready to less than 1.199,95 USD. A feat? Not really, when you know that the device offers a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. So the small size. But the resolution "reduced" is she really a big handicap to enjoy the best 3D content? Not so sure ... While it is true that on 50 inches, the difference between Full HD 1080p and 720p HD begins to show.
Converting 2D to 3D
Inevitably, at this price, this Samsung plasma is not a monster equipment. It still makes a 600Hz mode and loads more processors to improve the quality of color and vitality of contrasts. The calibration options are perhaps not as researched as the higher-end models, but between modes Image correction tools, black level, gamma, dynamic contrast of each primary color, the white balance, the skin tone and crisp edges, it should be possible to obtain a beautiful image.
3D side, it offers a means of converting 2D to 3D with the added ability to adjust the depth of the effect of topography and access various other small adjustments. The unit also has three HDMI 1.4. In contrast, the 3D glasses (SSG-2100AB, SSG-2200AR, SSG-2200KR) are not provided.
No network access
Small price required, this Samsung plasma offers no Ethernet connection and therefore does not take advantage of online services Internet @ TV. It is not DLNA certified, but has an open USB port to a nice string of multimedia formats including AVI, MKV, ASF, MP3, AAC, WMA, JPEG, VOB and others. Interesting.
Finally, in the design is fairly standard with a thickness of 7 cm, a small blue border at the bottom of the screen and a Black Gloss finish does not change much from previous generations.
The price, however, is very nice because this is PS-50C490 less than 1.199,95 USD, in particular Boulanger.
