After the many rumors circulating on the net, Panasonic has finally unveiled its new Lumix DMC-GF2, a digital camera with interchangeable lenses to be released in early 2011.
Panasonic recently announced the official release of its new Lumix DMC-GF2 who, under the brand, the NPC system of interchangeable lenses is the lightest of the range. Compatible with LUMIX G 12.5 mm F12 3D, this camera has in effect a housing 7% lighter and 19% smaller than its predecessor, the DMC-G1. Otherwise this camera embeds a sensor Live MOS 12.1 MP and a Venus Engine FHD for high performance in image processing.
A camera easy to use
With a 3-inch touchscreen, the Lumix DMC-GF2 includes a tracking AF function that allows you to lock the camera on a moving subject. This is ideal for photographing such animals or children playing. This device also embeds a UI Touch Q makes this unit really easy to use thanks to its many shortcuts to key functions as quickly as possible.
A smart device
The Lumix DMC-GF2 has an intelligent mode selection scene that allows you to choose the stage appropriate to the subject being photographed from a simple gesture on the screen. This method applies not only photos but also videos.
A wide range of resolutions
The Lumix DMC-GF2 features a video mode where you can capture video in Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) or HD (1280 x 720 pixels), all at 60 frames per second. You can also shoot in HD resolutions Motion JPEG (1280x 720), QVGA, VGA and WVGA.
