2011 compact digital cameras
This year again, the major manufacturers of digital cameras have taken advantage of CES in Las Vegas to showcase their new models. The sum of the new NPC is inflated by the many references to digital compact cameras unveiled to the public. An overview of these new photo is required.
Sony CyberShot 2011
New references appear in the catalog of Sony Cybershot! The wide-angle lens installed on all models (between 28 and 25mm) as the Panorama function by scanning. H series unveils two digital compact cameras rather high-end with the DSC-H70 and DSC-HX7V. The latter has a sensor to 16 megapixels, a 10x zoom (25-250mm), a GPS chip and a nice screen of 7.6 cm at 922 000 pixels. Advertised price: 320 €. The S series, which targets novice photographers, the DSC-S3000 incorporates a 10-megapixel camera with 4x zoom and a few automatic functions. It is expected in February at a price of 80 €. In the T series, the compact digital cameras "jewels", the DSC-TX10 is a fine model but also resistant and waterproof. It offers 16 megapixels with 5x zoom, video FullHD and a nice list of modes and functions for 350 €. The DSC-T110, somewhat similar, accompanies him. Finally, four digital compact cameras come garnish W series for the general public: Sony Cybershot DSC-W510, W530, W570 and WX7: they fit in the middle of the range.
Canon PowerShot to spare!
Canon A-series is updated with five compact camera. The flagship models are the Canon PowerShot A3200 IS and A3300 IS, 5x zoom (28-140mm) and HD video at 720p. But the first offers 14 megapixels in when the second has 16. Respective prices: 129 € and 149 €. The three other references, the Canon A800, A1200 and A2200, based on the same processor Digic 4 and carry a similar zoom 4x wide angle. They stand at their respective sensors 10, 12 and 14 megapixels.
Panasonic: Five new NPC
As Canon, Panasonic has unveiled five compact camera for the French market. Three references include Panasonic FS Series: DMC-FS35, FS18 and FS16. The FS35 features a 16 megapixel 8x zoom (10x digital) and a 2.7-inch LCD with 230 000 points. It provides 720p HD video, sharing pictures to sites dedicated online modes and exposure of all kinds (EXR, Scenes, ... PASM). He is due in February for 200 €, black and red! The FS18 and FS16 are slightly less fitted with sensors 16 and 14 megapixels and a 4x zoom (28-112mm). Count respectively 170 € and 150 €. Finally, the DMC-S3 and S1 are even more devoid of features and available at 130 € and 110 €.
Olympus: an expert compact and six other models
Olympus has done a lot of noise with the Olympus XZ-1, a compact digital camera expert model which will be discussed in more detail shortly. In parallel, the Japanese manufacturer has also introduced six references that come to cover all ranges of the market. The VR-310 Olympus has a technological background complete with its 14-megapixel sensor, 10x zoom, video mode HD 720p, artistic filters ... all for 130 € only a big deal! Models TG-610 TG-310 and are aimed at backpackers with their finish and enhanced tightness. The 610 deploys 14 Megapixels and a 5x zoom (28-140mm) including a panorama mode and 3D feature for photo and video. His sidekick is almost identical but the zoom, its screen and its physical strength are less consistent. Finally, digital cameras and compact LV-130 LV-120 occupy the entry level.
Kodak digital camera: touchscreen, compact, sporty ...
Kodak is very original with the presentation of four references quite different from each other. The Kodak Easyshare Touch plays the card with a beautiful touch screen of 7.6 inches diagonally. It offers a 5x zoom and features a sensor 14 Mégapxiels. It is expected in the spring to 149 €. The Kodak Easyshare Mini will show primarily practical in its compactness and its necessary for a beginner photographer with a small mirror bonus! Advertised price: 89 €. The Kodak Easyshare Sport is waterproof to 3 feet, resistant to dust, sand ... but it is not unusual on a technical level, hence the small price of 69 €. Finally, Kodak also introduced the model Kodak Max, a 12-megapixel bridge camera with 30x zoom (!) And Full HD 1080p video mode. We'll talk in April at the time of its release.
And also: Fujifilm, Samsung ...
Finally, remember that Fujifilm has introduced the 2011 CES show two high-end compact camera, the Fujifilm F500 and F550EXR EXR, which we have already spoken. Six bridge models were also presented to the public in Las Vegas! As for Samsung, he pointed out with the presentation of WB700, a well equipped compact digital camera to which we will soon also!
