Iiyama Prolite E2473HDS-B1

Iiyama released a 24-inch screen consumes less than 24 watts
The successor of the ProLite E2472HDS promises some improvements, always with a white LED backlight.

All analysts agree say, 2011 will be the year of the advent of LED backlight, as well as in television in PC monitors. The technology is now under control and inexpensive to produce. Iiyama is launching a new LED-backlit display, the 24-inch (diagonal of 23.6 inches to be exact).

HDMI input side

The screen is turned towards the media. It has VGA ports, DVI, but also two HDMI connectors, one of which is placed on the side of the frame. Easily accessible, it is clearly intended to accommodate mobile video devices, with support for sound, still through the HDMI interface directly with the two integrated speakers. Good idea.

Performance side, the flagstone LCD monitor displays a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), brightness (announced) at 300 cd / m², a contrast ratio of 000:1 and a static response time of 2 ms. The screen should not consume more than 24 watts in operation.

The ProLite E2473HDS-B1 Iiyama should be available during the month of February, to $ 249, with a three year warranty for standard replacement.
