Sony was a part of this list and the Japanese did not wait because it proposes a series Vaio yesterday Y. This ultraportable 11.6-inch format is equipped with APU Zacate, or E-350, operating at 1.6 GHz.
Remember, the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit for) AMD together within the same piece of silicon processor (Bobcat type here) and the graphics (the Radeon HD 6310 in our case), ensuring the paper trade accelerated between the two sides, all for a relatively low thermal envelope (18 Watts Zacate).
The APU will be supported by 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, while storage is provided by a hard disk with a 500GB capacity operating at 5400 revolutions per minute. Side connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR are on board, while the equipment consists of a card reader, memory, three USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output and a second HDMI format.
Regarding autonomy, Sony announced a lifespan of about six hours. The Vaio Y has a good design and a substantial fine, because it varies from 1 to 1.25 cm only. Its weight, however, suffers from the use of heavy materials, since it accuses 1.5 kg on the scale. It is already available in the U.S. in two colors, pink and silver, and 7 runs on Windows Home Edition. Its price: $ 600. No date nor price are yet announced for the European market.
