BlackBerry Password 123456 and abcdef on blacklist


BlackBerry OS 10 and more particularly BlackBerry ID, the passwords of the type 123456 and abcdef will be banned. Platform for BlackBerry 10 of RIM out January 30, 2013, nearly a hundred passwords will be placed on a blacklist and therefore prohibited to use. The measure does not however affect smartphone itself but BlackBerry ID, which allows for example to obtain supplies of applications.

Among the sesame banned because too little is simple and robust, classics like "123456", "abcdef" or "password". But the blacklist also include passwords on the names of characters and of Winnie the Pooh to "NCC1701" which refers to the code of the spaceship USS Enterprise within Star Strek. To establish its blacklist, RIM has relied on a study of the passwords most commonly used by BlackBerry users. With a small blacklist, However, it seems unlikely choice to counter the simplicity users for their passwords.
