Reviews: Toyota Develops New Driving Aids To Avoid Shocks

The Japanese brand Toyota has developed a new system to prevent collisions. This PCS (Pre Collision System) uses a millimetric radar for detecting the presence of another vehicle. In case of danger, the system doubles the braking power (with a deceleration of 60 km / h when the car is 80 km / h and the front at 20 km / h). And if there is no reaction, then the electronic will trigger the automatic braking to reduce from 15 to 30 km / h impact speed. The new PCS, based on the analysis of actual accidents will happen on future models of the brand.

Toyota has also developed two support systems for maneuvering in parking lots. It seems incredible, but it records in Japan about 7000 collisions per year in parking. The first system is a sonar which warns of the presence of an obstacle such as a wall. The difference compared to what we already know is that this device reduces engine power and brakes automatically.

The second system is a control at startup (Drive Start), which verifies if the driver has not deceived report at the gearbox in its operation. For example, if it reverses and hits something, the system will prevent him from continuing in reverse. A signal is also displayed on the instrument panel in case of failure.
