The brand upmarket of General Motors has decided to equip its ATS model system in enhancing the performance curve. It is called PAL (Performance Algorithm Liftfoot).
The principle, pretty simple, is to detect the power demand when the driver takes a turn at high speed. The electronics then acts on the gearbox (in this case a 6-speed automatic transmission with reduced transit time) to automatically lower the ratio, in order to promote better acceleration. The system, which prevents the driver to the gearbox, can stay focused on the path and increase driving pleasure.
Without being truly revolutionary PAL system to better harness the power and prepare the car for the next turn, therefore we have previously selected the "Sport" mode, which is also on the firmness of the suspension.
