This monitor is equipped with an LCD panel to AMVA + technology and a capacitive touch overlay able to manage contact our ten fingers. This large touchscreen Iiyama monitor is perfect for family use, The large LCD panel 27-inch diagonal of IIYAMA Prolite T2735MSC-B1 is equipped with a capacitive touch control layer very practical, and a display technology of last generation.
This large Prolite monitor T2735MSC-B1 by Iiyama is not only interesting for its capacitive touch control system. It also features an LCD panel AMVA +, the latest version of the MVA technology manufacturer AU Optronics (subsidiary of BenQ). We therefore tested.
Classic but very upscale design for 27 inches. The unit recalls the Dell monitors, rather well balanced and trustworthy with its beautiful finishes. Warning, the foot is not than a crutch, it does not allow a lot of manipulation. However, it helps to tilt the screen 70 degrees, nearly flat so. One last detail: touch technology implies the presence of a glossy coating, very sensitive to reflections.

A Beautiful Image
Slab AMVA + present in the monitor showed during our tests many qualities. According to our measurements, viewing angles are as wide as those of an IPS panel, which was not the case for conventional MVA. Despite bad default settings, the return of gray and color is acceptable (average 2.1 DeltaE, but green is 6.8). We can do better with finer adjustments. Thus, we had to significantly increase the contrast (from 50 to 80%) and fine-tune the balance of primary colors with an optical probe. The rate of contrast, the main quality VA panel, it decreases slightly but remains very high: all have measured values close to 2500:1 (4500:1 against with classics MVA).
Two Main Faults
For the players, however, if the slab AMVA greatly improves on all color transitions (which reduces its average response time to 13 ms only), it remains quite slow in some transitions gray (about 25 ms). The consequence is that it is unnecessary to activate the overdrive by our test model: reverse ghosting (reverse ghosting) occurs with all the blows. The screen is not to advise and amateurs slow video games (role, adventure, etc.). Fans of shooters in the first person (FPS) pass their way.
Finally, it is regrettable that this screen does not take a constant (DC) for the backlight. In low light his power mode PWM (by puslation) causes a slight flicker of image brightness, which sensitive eyes get tired after long use. Note that manufacturers like Eizo and BenQ have already pledged not to use this type of Backlight by pulsation.
Touch Pleasant, Reliable And Accurate
The touch screen features a very easy to implement: just plug a USB cable, and Windows does the rest (automatic driver installation). Everything works perfectly in a few seconds. The tactile feel is very accurate and surprisingly responsive when writing or drawing something on the screen. Only the first contact imposes a small delay before effect in Windows 7, but not Windows 8.
Our Opinion
Finally, the IIYAMA Prolite T2735MSC-B1 is a very good touch screen capable of satisfying a demanding user (and not very playful!). It is in addition equipped with a new type of LCD panel with improved performance. Too bad it was not better factory set by the manufacturer, making it necessary to calibrate with an optical probe to enjoy its real potential display.
