Liquid, to put the fluid in your smartphone With Android 1.6, Acer Liquid incorporates a high resolution screen and a chip to 768 MHz with graphics acceleration.
Acer announced a terminal in Android by end of 2009. Compatible with 3.5G and Wi-Fi, the liquid will actually be available before Christmas. With the new version 1.6 of Google OS (Donut), it will even be the first of its kind to support a high resolution screen (840 x 600 pixels) - this was not supported by Cupcake. From a design quite similar to that of newTouch, Windows phone manufacturer's Liquid is also the only device for now, to integrate Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 768 MHz version.
Beyond the big screen capacitive almost nine inches diagonally, its GPS and A-GPS and five-megapixel image sensor, the slim Liquid (1.25 cm thick) is distinguished by capacity in the field Web and multimedia. Its powerful processor backed by 256MB of RAM, and 3D graphics accelerator provides smooth navigation. Beyond improvements in Android 1.6 as the VPN support (for professionals) or a self-optimized and pending Eclair (2.0), Acer offers users several tools: AcerSync to synchronize Liquid contents in Wi-Fi or via a cable with those of PC (software supplied for Windows that is compatible 7), Spinlets offering playback of streaming free music and videos, these can be shared by sending an e-mail or an instant message, or the ability to create an avatar (UrFooz), sort of vCard general public. Finally, download on Android Market, the mail client Exchange ActiveSync, RoadSync, will be installed as standard on the smartphone.
The liquid will be sold at 514 USD in early December from multiple stores such as The Phone House, but it should also benefit from the premium operator Virgin Mobile. The device will come bundled with a microSD card of 2 GB and a white hull. The red and black versions are planned starting in January and another comes with a microSD card to 16GB.
