Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series

Samsung is also unveiling its sliding keyboard shelf
Sliding Series Samsung PC 7 is the first tablet in a long line to opt for an Intel Atomand Windows 7.

After Asus and its Eee Tablet Pad Slide, it's time for Samsung to unveil its creation at CES! The Korean manufacturer has announced a series Sliding PC 7 (code name Gloria) whose first touch pad is a citizen of 10.1 inches (1366 x 768 pixels) with sliding keyboard whose thickness does not exceed 2 cm. When the keyboard is extended, the screen goes up slightly and you're almost flying a netbook for surfing, typing emails or write documents.

Samsung chooses Intel's Atom


Under the small blue-violet silver keyboard is a platform Intel Oak Trail officiating.Behind this name hides it a Z670 Atom processor clocked at 1.66 GHz and a SM35 chipset. Not so excessive power, but enough to start and run Windows 7 Home Premium in less than 25 seconds (according to Samsung) present on the DSS Sliding PC 7 (32 or 64 GB depending on model).

HD and 3G


At first HD (720p) should be able to program on the screen or on a TV remote, since Samsung has an HDMI connector embedded on the Sliding. There is also a USB port and a memory card reader (4-in-1) which is expected to extend a bit storage capacity of this gear. There is also a Wi-Fi module n and a 3G SIM card slot as an option. The battery Lithium Polymer is given for nine hours by Samsung. Finally, it seems that thoughts of applications specifically for the tablet will be pre-installed and others will be available on the Samsung Access Manager.
